Introduction

The ideal Retinol for beginners to introduce your skin to this powerful ingredient. Specially formulated with a slow-release, less irritating form of Retinol, the skin-renewing serum targets first signs of aging and hyperpigmentation. Working to visibly improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and overall skin tone and texture with continued improvement over time.​​

Hero ingredient Retinyl Acetate is a derivative of vitamin A and works to gently resurface and enhance surface skin cell turnover, improving appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation. This form of slow-release Retinol has been specifically chosen as a gentler anti ageing serum option. The added Squalane, a key antioxidant ingredient, provides additional hydrating and soothing benefits whilst helping to smooth skin's appearance.​​

The rate at which our skin renews slows down as we age. Retinol helps to promote skin renewal and enhance collagen production, kick-starting cells back into action.

• Combines 1% stable retinol and 0.5% granactive retinoid (slightly stronger than retinol) with squalene for hydration and soothing

How to Use:

• Use in the evening after cleansing and toning, and before other serums
• Apply a pea sized amount to the fingers and gently tap into the skin
• For some people redness and flakiness may occur at the beginning of use due to the increase in cell turnover. When first using Retinol, you may wish to use a few times per week and gradually increase to every evening.
• Not recommended for use with alpha hydroxy acids (lactic acid and glycolic acid) or vitamin C
• Only use Retinol Serum in your PM skincare routine.
• After cleansing and hydrating with The Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid Serum, apply a pea-sized amount of Retinol Serum and massage into to the face and neck.
• For the fragile skin around the eyes, we recommend using The Inkey List Retinol Eye Cream. Follow with your preferred moisturizer. Start off using it 1-2 times per week and increase gradually if your skin can tolerate more frequent use.
• When layering treatments, work from the thinnest to thickest consistency. Waiting a minute or so between applying each treatment will also help to avoid pilling.
• If you have more sensitive skin, use Niacinamide before Retinol Serum to help decrease irritation.
