Who’s it for?

The Kerastase Chroma Absolu Range is designed specifically to maintain, correct and protect damaged, sensitised and colour-treated hair, particularly darker shades. The range consists of two shampoos, two masks, a conditioner, a leave-in serum and a high shine gloss, all formulated to keep your colour prolonged and in tip-top shape without top up appointments before your next colouring service. And who wouldn’t want that?!

Let’s take a closer look at the full range and what it can offer for your specific hair concerns…

How Does it Work?

Kerastase Chroma Absolu contain four key ingredients to combat damage;

  • Lactic Acid – This helps to gently transform, smoothen, and seal the fibre’s surface
  • Amino Acid – a key structure for the hair’s fibres, this ingredient penetrates the hair’s core to strengthen and nourish
  • Tartaric Acid – The healing properties reduce oxidation and protect the fibre against external damage, protecting your colour from fading.
  • Centella Asiatica – This plant is known to have healing properties to replenish the hair’s fibre.

The range works by targeting damaged hair on three levels: the core, middle and surface. The powerful 3 acids at work in the Chroma Absolu range restore damage at all 3 levels.

  • Core: Fibre porosity leads to breakage, split ends, and speeds up colour fade
  • Middle: frizz caused by colour leads to dryness, rough texture and a dull appearance
  • Surface: Hair oxidation causes unwanted red & copper undertones

Its rich antioxidant properties help protect hair and colour from oxidative stress whilst also taming frizz. The ingredients lactic acid & centella asiatica help to preserve colour by completely shielding your hair’s fibre against all types of external aggressors, so you can maintain your colour’s intensity in between salon visits!

Is It Sulfate-Free?

Yes! The shampoos in this range are sulfate free, paraben-free and silicone-free, meaning no colour fade! Sulfate-free shampoos also maintain your hair’s natural oils on the scalp and hair, leaving you with much more moisture. Sulfate free shampoos like the ones in this Kerastase Chroma Absolu range are suitable for sensitive skin or eczema, too, as they’re less likely to cause irritation to the scalp.

How often should I use the Kerastase Chroma Absolu Range?

The shampoos and conditioner are designed for regular use, so you can use them every time you wash your hair. We recommend using either mask once a week in place of your conditioner. The gloss can be used after shampooing (on wet hair) but before using your conditioner, and your serum before or after blow-drying.

Can I use the Kerastase Chroma Absolu Range on Blonde Hair?

The Kerastase Chroma Absolu line is best suited to non-blonde, darker colour-treated hair. For boosting your blonde and nurturing your tresses, we recommend the Kerastase Blond Absolu range.
